Request for items

My laptop's battery does not work, and I am only able to use it while it is plugged into a wall outlet. I was wondering if anyone had a battery that they didn't need, perhaps from a broken machine that has a salvageable battery.

It is a Dell Latitude, if that helps. I would love to have the increased mobility.

Additionally, if anyone has a Logitech Trackman mouse they don't need or want, I would really like to have one for this machine; regular mice kill my wrist, and I am wondering if someone out there has one that they tried and didn't like or something.

If you have one of these items, please pretty please let me know if you're willing to part with it. I'll email you my address. <3

For those who are wondering, I was very fortunate to have this machine given to me by a fellow volunteer, who ordered a new laptop and was going to Freecycle this one. I am very grateful for her kindness in giving me this machine, and even if I do not get a battery for it, it gives me more freedom than I had previously. In the spring, though, I would love so much to go outside to write, or do so on my front porch, which I converted into a cozy reading nook.

It might be a good idea to look on eBay and find the model number of the battery that should go in your laptop, to make sure that any battery you receive or sell will actually be compatible. My work laptop, also a Dell, doesn't accept most other Dell power cords; I don't know if batteries are like that as well.

My only Dell Latitude is the one I have with work, and amusingly its battery life is about 20 minutes. (No lie.) I have an Inspiron at home but I don't think the batteries are compatible.

You should find the mouse you want on Amazon and put it on your wishlist. :)

Lindley,
Thank you for the suggestion; I will do just that.

Heather,
Has it always been such a short battery life? Yikes! And, good idea, I added it to the list. I use one with my regular computer, and it solved a great deal of wrist pain when I switched over years ago. Between that and the split keyboard I use, people get really frustrated when they try to use my computer, haha.
:)

What model of the Latitude is it? I might have a resource to score a new battery for you.
